Built-in optical image stabilization offers up to approx. 5 stops of shake correction when paired with compatible bodies. The Nano USM autofocus motor delivers fast, smooth and nearly silent focusing, with full-time manual override. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 0.28 m (0.92 ft) and offers 0.21× magnification for close-up details. Durable L-series weather‑sealed construction and Ø82 mm filter thread cap off the package, making this lens reliable in challenging environments.
